Management Team

Brad Crocker became President and CEO of Trecora Resources effective June 27, 2022.   Mr. Crocker continues to serves as President and CEO of Epsilyte LLC, a position he has filled since November, 2020.  Epsilyte is a $500 million producer of advanced insulative materials used in various markets such as building and construction; cold-chain; infrastructure; and personal safety.  Prior to Epsilyte, Mr. Crocker was President and CEO of Americas Styrenics LLC from January, 2012 to April, 2020 where he led a $2B chemical and plastic producer marketing products to a wide variety of industries including packaging, automotive, construction, and medical.  Mr. Crocker has significant M&A experience including divestitures, acquisitions, and integrations, which was most recently utilized in Epsilyte’s acquisitions of Polysource (May, 2021) and Styrochem (October, 2021). Mr. Crocker earned his BS in Chemistry from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. 

Dr. Peter Loggenberg was appointed as EVP Specialty Polymers and Corporate Strategy in September 2023. He was President of Trecora Chemical since the Company's acquisition of SSI Chusei, Inc. in October 2014 until his appointment to Chief Sustainability Officer in 2018. He served as Chief Commercial and Sustainability Officer until August 2023. Prior to Trecora He was President of SSI Chusei, Inc. from 2010 through 2014. He has over 30 years of experience in the chemical industry with over 20 years at the corporate level.

Rafael “Ralph” Pons has over 35 years of extensive chemical manufacturing experience at some of the industry’s leading companies.  In February 2020, Mr. Pons joined the Company and initially served as the site leader at the Company’s South Hampton Resources facility in Silsbee, Texas.  In May 2021, Mr. Pons assumed the role of Chief Manufacturing Officer.  Prior to joining Trecora, Mr. Pons worked at Preferred Sands from 2018 until 2019, where he served as Vice President of Operations.  From 2016 until 2017, Mr. Pons worked for Celanese Corporation where he served as the site leader at the company’s manufacturing facility located in Clear Lake, Texas.  Prior to that role, Mr. Pons served as plant manager at Nalco Champion in Garyville, Louisiana from 2015 until 2016.  From 2013 until 2015, Mr. Pons held several different roles of increasing responsibility at Phillips 66.  From 1985 until 2013, Mr. Pons worked at Dow Chemical where he held several different roles of increasing responsibility.  Mr. Pons holds a Master of Science degree in Operations Management from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia.

Christopher Groves was appointed Trecora’s Chief Financial Officer in February 2023, having previously served as Principal Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller since March 2018. Prior to joining Trecora, Mr. Groves held accounting-related positions with a variety of companies, including public and privately-held companies as well in public accounting with Deloitte. Mr. Groves earned both a B.S. in Accounting and M.S. in Accounting from the University of Connecticut and is a certified public accountant with over 20 years of experience in financial accounting matters.

Matt Myren joined Trecora in 2022. He is responsible for the legal department and corporate compliance and risk reduction for the operations of Trecora and its subsidiaries.

Before joining the Trecora family, Matt was General Counsel for several companies under private equity ownership for 14 years. Matt served in the legal department for over 12 years at Sears, responsible for complex transactions/M&A, Securities, Procurement, Merchandising, IT, and HR legal work. Prior to his time at Sears, he was a corporate associate at the international law firm Skadden Arps in Chicago.

Matt earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Juris Doctorate in Law from the University of Iowa. Matt enjoys volunteer work and has served as President of the Barrington Area United Way and as President of a private school board. Matt is married with four boys and loves to play guitar and sing with his cover band, enjoys long-distance trail running, wine, traveling, and reading.
